It is a myth that we only use 10 percent of our brain. In fact, we virtually use almost all of our brain all the time.  We are just not aware of most of what our brain is doing.  Our brain has evolved to be largely unconscious. We don’t need to think of walking, we just need to be able to walk. The brain is made of largely autonomous innate modules or processing systems that go on doing their own work without any need for attention from our conscious mind.  Our eyes process light photons via retinal receptors without our conscious mind dictating the chemical pathways required for photons to fire up the receptors. And yet, somewhere hidden in our mind, there lies the knowledge of how the retina processes the photon.

What is the drawback of a brain that most of its processes are hidden behind the veil of unconsciousness?  The drawback is that we cannot put enough conscious attention into these processes to get control over them and change them.  Hence, they can drive us as if we were slaves or robots who have been programmed so thoroughly that we cannot even see the chains or the buttons that are being pushed.

How do we access our unconscious?

The gate to the unconscious is often opened gently by meditation, fasting, praying or  it can be blasted open by profound sorrow and psychedelics.

The psychedelics or psycho-integrators bring the unconscious processes into the conscious mind and then shows us how they have shaped our minds our beliefs our emotions and our lives.

In the blog, I will be sharing my experiences exploring various methods used around the world to access unconscious. I will be discussing the use of sacred medicine of America primarily San Pedro, Ayahuasca, and Tabacco juice.
